"GRAIN ELEVATORS"         The dissapearing prairie skyline.

 

I'Many years ago every prairie town had one or more grain elevators, located up close to the rail line.  While driving or flying across the prairies, these elevators were often used as landmarks as they were scene from a long distance.

 

Constructed from wooden planks, these massive constructions often caught fire and burned down. .
